When should I pack? Most midwives recommend having your bag ready by 36 weeks. If you are expecting twins, or have had a previous preterm birth, aim for 32 weeks.

You don't need everything on this list — use it as a starting point and adapt to your preferences. The NHS recommends keeping your maternity notes and birth plan at the top of your bag where midwives can find them quickly.
